REFUND, TRANSFER, & CANCELLATION POLICIES

 

We follow the standard running industry policy. All entry fees are non-refundable. When you register for our event you are making a non-refundable purchasing decision and must agree to this policy. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, illness, pregnancy, don't like the weather forecast, etc. There are NO exceptions. Once you register for the event, we pay for race course services and items for you as if you will be attending the event, that are not recoverable.

 

Hansen Dam Triathlon reserve the right to cancel any Hansen Dam Triathlon and Superhero event in the event of accidents, labor disputes, acts of war or terrorism military or armed conflicts, insurrections, rebellions, riots, explosions, lightening, earthquakes, fires, storms, rain and floods, wind, hail or lack of registration numbers to support the basic safety requirements for all and any events or if Hansen Dam Triathlon cancels the event for any other reason. In the event of such cancellation, there will be no refunds.

 

Because of the nature of event planning, all entry fee payments are non-refundable and all sales are final.

 

Your entry can be transferred to the following race, the following year.  Your entry can not be transferred to another person. 

 

Hansen Dam Triathlon reserves the right to change the venue and/or date of the event for any reason. In the event of such change of date or venue (or both), there will be no refunds, but your registration will still be valid for the new date.

 

Hansen Dam Triathlon reserve the right to remove athletes, spectators, sub-contractors, venue employees, friends, family, and anyone else from the Event, without refund, should his/her behavior endanger the safety or negatively affect a race, person, venue, person, or property of any kind.

 

The race will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the race start may be postponed or the course may be shortened. As the race company, we reserve the right to alter, postpone, or cancel any race for safety concerns. In the event the race is canceled, no refunds or credits will be provided. In the event a participant cannot attend a rescheduled date, no refunds or credits will be provided.

 

The highest entry fees are at the Race Expo and Race Day, if available, for races that are not sold out. We accept cash only at the RACE EXPO and RACE DAY. You can pay by credit card up until online registration closes, generally the FRIDAY prior to the race.

 

Entrants need to be responsible, alert and aware of their surroundings when they run. Running with headphones is not allowed per USAT rules. Most roads on the race courses are partially closed but not completely closed to vehicle traffic. Racers need to be able to easily hear vehicle traffic, emergency vehicles as well as instructions on the course from the police, traffic control or race course officials as well as be able to hear other runners.

 

Please enter your birth date on your registration accurately to assure you are placed in the appropriate age group, and double check it to make sure it is correct. A common mistake is entering the current year as your birth year.

 

Your government-issued photo ID is required to pick up your goods. You must pick up your race bib, shirt and goodie bag at the Race Expo on the Saturday before the race or on race day. We HIGHLY recommend picking up on the Saturday, before race day. Someone else may not pick up for you, per USAT rules.
